The Republic of Indonesia is a popular destination, with over 15 million travelers visiting Indonesia in 2019.
Unless eligible to enter Indonesia visa-free, apply online for an Indonesia e-Visa, or to obtain an Indonesia visa on arrival, all foreign nationals should apply for an Indonesia Visa Authorization through a local sponsor.
Indonesia visas are normally single-entry visas, valid for 30 or 60 days from the date of issue, allowing the visa holder to stay in Indonesia for up to 30 consecutive days within the validity period.
Foreign nationals wishing to travel to Indonesia must apply for one of the following Indonesia visa types, based on their purpose for traveling to Indonesia:
The following general requirements are required for all visas. Certain visa types may have additional requirements depending on the type of visa, applicant's nationality, or intended frequency of travel.
A passport, valid for at least 6 months before the travel date, with at least two blank pages
Two passport photos, taken within the last 6 months, on white background
A completed and signed Indonesia visa application form
A copy of your passport biometric page
Proof of accommodations during the stay in Indonesia
Birth certificates for minors
Medical insurance during your stay in Indonesia.
A round trip or onward ticket
A copy of the immigration authorization
Please note that applicants may be asked to supply other supporting documents. Once the required documents have been gathered, the applicant can proceed to apply for their Indonesia visa.

Once the required documents above have been gathered, applicants can proceed to the application process.
Indonesia (sticker) Visa Authorization:
• Download the Indonesia visa application form
• Verify that the information you provided is accurate
• Print out and sign 2 copies of the visa application form
• Submit your application with the required documents
• Pay the Indonesia visa application fees
• If approved, pick up your Indonesia visa authorization from the Indonesia embassy or representation office where you applied
NOTE: Due to COVID-19 measures in effect, Indonesia is ONLY accepting ONLINE applications through the Indonesia e-Visa portal. All in-person visits to Indonesian embassies, consulates, or representation offices have been put on hold until further notice.

• Register on Indonesia visa website
• Fill out the application form for your visa type
• Submit the application form and scanned copies of required documents
• Receive a confirmation email
• If approved, you will receive your Indonesia e-Visa in your email
It is important to have a hard copy printout of your Indonesia e-Visa, as soft copies will not be accepted at Indonesia ports of entry.
Normally, applicants apply for Indonesia visas at their nearest Indonesia embassy or representation office. Due to current COVID-19 measures, Indonesia embassies and representation offices are not issuing most types of Indonesia visas, and applicants must have a local sponsor to apply for an Indonesia visa on their behalf. To that effect, applications for Indonesia visas and e-Visas are applied online or through courier. You are advised to check with your nearest Indonesia embassy or representation office for more information on their Indonesia visa application procedures.
The normal processing time for an Indonesia visa is 3 to 5 business days. You are advised to apply 2 weeks prior to travel, as processing times may be delayed due to exigent circumstances.

Certain foreign nationals can enter Indonesia visa-free, including: Brunei, Philippines, Cambodia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam. Some countries are eligible to obtain an Indonesia visa-on-arrival, and all other foreign nationals not on either list require an Indonesia visa to enter Indonesia. Foreign nationals visiting Bali for tourism purposes are afforded single-entry, 30-day visa-free travel from date of entry to Indonesia. If you want to stay longer than 30 days, then you must apply for a longer stay Indonesia visa with a 60 or 180-day validity period.
Foreign citizens can stay in Bali for free for up to 30 days, after which they must apply for an Indonesia visa. The cost of an Indonesia visa depends on your nationality and the type of Indonesia visa you are applying for.
Foreign nationals who have been fully vaccinated with 2 or 3 doses, at least 14 days prior to travel, are not required to quarantine. Travelers not fully vaccinated will be required to quarantine for 5 days.
