Required Documents for UAE Visa
Required documents differ according to the airline, tour agency, or hotel sponsoring your visa to the United Arab Emirates.
- Passport
- Valid for at least 6 months from your intended travel date to the UAE
- Completed application form
- Color photograph
- Color copy of passport details page
- Confirmed round-trip airline ticket or forward ticket to another destination
- Copy of entry and exit stamps pages on passport (only for those who have traveled previously to the UAE)
- For minors, additional requirements must be submitted:
- Birth certificate in English or Arabic. Translated documents must be attested on the front page.
- Photo ID or parents or husband
- Copy of one of the parent’s tourist visa sponsored by the airline, tour agency, or hotel
Note: Additional documents may be required, depending on the applicant’s country of residence. Sponsored visa applicants (whether by family, friends, or companies) may be asked to submit additional documents. Minimum salary requirements also apply to residents who would like to sponsor visitors to the UAE.
UAE Visa Application Steps
- Gather all the required documents.
Make JPEG copies of the documents
Send all the documents to the airline, hotel or tour agency sponsoring your visa to the UAE. - Fill out the application form.
Alternatively, the sponsor may also fill out the application form for you. Provide them the information needed and confirm that everything on the application form is correct.
- Pay the visa application fee.
- Submit your UAE visa application.
The sponsor may submit the application online on your behalf.
Once the visa is approved, your sponsor will send you a copy which needs to be printed out.

When to Apply
Although the processing time for UAE visas is short, applicants are advised to apply as early as possible.
Where to Apply
The embassies or consulates of the UAE do not issue tourist visas. To get a tourist visa to the UAE, applicants need to contact one of the airlines based in the country or through agencies and hotels in the country that will apply for a visa on behalf of applicants.
UAE Visa Processing Time
The processing time for UAE visas takes a minimum of 5 business days. Take note that the working days in the UAE is from Sunday to Thursday. Visa applications submitted during Fridays and Saturdays will take longer to process.
For approved visa applications:
The visa must be printed as it is a requirement for boarding your flight to the UAE.
Applicants who have received their UAE visa should remember the following things:
- All passengers traveling to UAE must have a negative Covid-19 RT-PCR test taken no more than 72 hours before departure.
- The test certificate can either be hardcopy or softcopy and must either be in English or Arabic. SMS certificates are NOT accepted.
- You may need to take another Covid-19 PCR test upon arrival.
For denied visa applications:
Applicants will be informed if their visa application is successful or not. There is no way to appeal rejected or denied visa applications.
