Traveling to Ukraine
Ukraine has become a leading destination for tourism, business, and investment. Foreign nationals from over 80 countries are eligible to enter Ukraine visa-free and to stay up to 90 days, while foreign nationals from over 40 countries can apply for a single or double entry Ukraine e-Visa.
All other foreign nationals must apply for a Ukraine sticker visa at their nearest Ukraine embassy or representation office abroad. Ukraine visa validity dates can range between 5 to 90 days, depending on the purpose of your visit to Ukraine and the Ukraine visa type you are applying for.
Ukraine visa types
Transit (B type)
Transit (B type) visas are for 5-day transit purposes through Ukraine and can be issued as single, double, or multiple entry for a 1-year validity period, or longer depending on the traveler’s visit purpose.
Short-term (C type)
Short-term (C type) also known as the Ukraine tourist visa, this visa type is valid for 6 month and can be issued as single, double, or multiple entry, allowing a 90-day stay within every 180-day validity period. Depending on the traveler’s visit purpose, longer validity periods may be issued up to a maximum of 5 years.
Long-term (D type)
Long-term (D type) visas are usually issued as multiple entry and are valid for 90 days. This visa is for long-term purposes, such as education and employment, where the visitor intends to apply for a temporary residence permit during the 90-day visa validity period. Depending on the traveler’s visit purpose, longer validity periods may be issued.

Application form
The application form should be filled out online, printed and signed.
Personal photo
The applicant is required to submit a recent personal photo, against a white background, size 35x45 mm
Passport
Issued within the last 10 years, valid for at least 3 months after the intended date of departure from Ukraine, with 2 blank pages for official use
Medical/travel insurance
Covering the stay period in Ukraine, with a minimum coverage of €30.000 or equivalent
Financial means
A bank statement for the last two months prior to submission of application, cash in Ukrainian local currency, bank cards, or expense coverage letter from a local host

Where to apply for Ukraine visa
Ukraine Sticker visa
Foreign nationals required to apply for a Ukraine sticker visa should initiate their application online at the Ukraine Ministry of Foreign Affairs portal, where they will fill out the Ukraine visa application online, then print out a hard copy and sign it. Afterwards, they shall continue the application process in person by scheduling an appointment at their nearest Ukraine embassy or representation office abroad, in order to submit their application along with the required documents.
Ukraine e-visa
Foreign nationals applying for a Ukraine e-Visa should visit the Ministry of Foreign Affairs platform to proceed with their online application. Please note that this service is currently unavailable.
Ukraine visa processing time
The Ukraine e-Visa is normally processed in 3 business days from the date of submittal, and in 1 day for urgent requests. The Ukraine sticker visa is normally processed within 10 business days from application submittal, and 5 days for urgent requests. Please note that processing times can be delayed if additional checks are needed.
