Saudi Arabia’s Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has approved granting Saudi citizenship to distinguished individuals who possess unique specializations, as well as expertise. The announcement was made in Riyadh on the 11th of November 2021, in line with the Royal decree to grant Saudi citizenships to experts and exceptional global talents, as per the Saudi Press Agency.
This is in support of the nation’s goal of achieving Vision 2030, a strategic roadmap conceptualized by His Royal Highness, the Crown Prince, Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. Vision 2030 aims to distinguish the country as a prime location for investment, logistics, and global economics.
Saudi Arabia aims to create an environment which will attract creative minds to the Kingdom, as well as foster and retain them in the country for years to come through the naturalization of foreigners in various fields including culture, medicine science, sports and technology, as well as religion. This also emphasizes the Kingdom’s growing interest for talent and business as the country tries to expand to sectors other than oil, such as manufacturing and tourism.
