Thailand — To officially allow tourists from 46 countries to enter without having to quarantine.
Thailand recently made an announcement to allow the entry of international vaccinated visitors from 46 countries without having to go through COVID-19 quarantines processes. The exciting report was relayed by Prime minister Prayut Chan-o-cha on the 14th of October 2021. He, Prayut, officially reaffirmed the general public that Thailand is ready to open the country to quarantine-free tourists from 46 countries.
The announcement was anecdotal to the decline in active COVID-19 cases and rise in vaccinations over the past few months. This development sprouts the willingness of the government to gradually relax the restrictions and reopen the country for international travelers to resume. The Thailand government has put into cognizance the accountability for the endemic nature of the virus and the effectiveness of the vaccination program before rolling out this development.
After the meeting of the Center for COVID-19 Situation Administration (CCSA), the Prime Minister confirmed that the gateway to the country will again be opened starting from November 1st 2021. However, tourists are obligated to be vaccinated and ensure their appeal to all other necessary conditions.
List of the quarantine-free countries according to the Notification of the Operation Centre for Measures on the Entry into and Departure from the Kingdom, and Protection of Thai Nationals Abroad dated 21 October B.E. 2564 (2021) are:
