Bosnia and Herzegovina exempts Saudi nationals from visas for summer 2023
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bosnia and Herzegovina announced today, Wednesday, July 5, 2023, that Saudi nationals will be exempt from entry visas during the summer tourist season. This visa exemption will be in effect from July 7, 2023, until October 1, 2023.
The Bosnian Ministry of Foreign Affairs proposed this measure to the Council of Ministers, and subsequently, the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina approved the decision to waive visa requirements for Saudi citizens who plan to visit for tourism, business, or personal purposes. Under this exemption, Saudi nationals can stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina for a maximum period of 30 days during the specified time frame.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is renowned for its picturesque landscapes, encompassing mountains and rivers, as well as its rich multicultural history. Saudi nationals intending to travel to Bosnia without a visa during this period for tourism purposes should arrange for health insurance, a prepaid tourist package, and a return ticket. Conversely, Saudi travelers visiting for business or personal reasons must obtain an invitation letter from the Foreigners Affairs Department of Bosnia and Herzegovina.The Bosnian Ministry of Foreign Affairs commended the decision to exempt Saudi nationals from visa requirements, affirming that it serves the interests of Bosnia and Herzegovina by promoting tourism and fostering economic cooperation.
